Recreating old classics songs has become the fashion in Bollywood now and the latest to creation on the bandwagon is ‘Tumhari Sulu’. The Vidya Balan-starrer has recreated the iconic Sridevi track “Hawa Hawai”. The original number was a part of the 1989 film ‘Mr. India’ and Guru Randhawa’s Song “Ban Ja Tu Meri rani” with ‘Tumhari Sulu’, the makers have tried to recreate the charm that was once brought on screen by the legendary actor.
Here’s ‘Ban Ja Rani’, a soft, romantic song between from the flick ‘Tumhari Sulu’, pictured on Vidya Balan and Manav Kaul. A recreation of the current sensation Guru Randhawa’s erstwhile osng, ‘tu meri rani’ has been composed by Guru Randhawa and Rajat Nagpal, and written and rendered by Randhawa himself.
The iconic “Hawa Hawai ” song from the blockbuster film, “Mr.India”, has been recreated as “Hawa Hawai 2.0” for the keenly awaited film, “Tumhari Sulu”. Kavita Krishnamurthy’s unmistakable vocals have been retained. Tanishk Bagchi has recreated and programmed the new version, picturized on Vidya Balan, Neha Dhupia, and RJ Malishka.
The new song cast Vidya Balan, Neha Dhupia, and RJ Malishka and is set to an office party. Vidya plays Sulochana in the film who takes up the job of a radio jockey and this number is set inside the radio station. Vidya Balan is dressed in a saree for the song and in the making, she reveals that she thought it would be really difficult to perform these steps in the outfit but turns out, she was able to ace it perfectly. Vidya admits that she is a huge fan of Sridevi and she thoroughly enjoyed performing on one of her iconic dance numbers.
‘Tumhari Sulu’ is a slice-of-life family film, directed by noted ad filmmaker Suresh Triveni, and produced by T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment. It releases worldwide on November 17, 2017.
