Actor Anil Kapoor has begun the shooting for his upcoming flick Fanney Khan and he said the movie is very special. Anil Kapoor shared the photograph of his upcoming film’s clipboard Fanney Khan on Sunday on his Twitter and said that the shoot has begun.
“Fanney Khan is a very beautiful father and daughter storyline. A new girl is playing a 16-year-old daughter. It picks up the cause of a young girl in a big way. And you will see the flick in many layers. It’s about her ambition of getting popular,”
“Altogether, it’sthe whole body shaming of a girl — most of the girls not just in India, but around the world go through… The male gaze (check out) thing or female gaze (check out) also… (which is) very scary,” Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra told IANS over the call from Mumbai.
“And now the clapboard that shows the starting of something new and very special! First days the best days! Fanney Khan. Shoot begins,” he captioned the image.
A first glimpse into the film – as shared by Anil – earlier this year saw him dressed in a glittery golden jacket singing his heart out as a spotlight shone on him.
Fanney Khan is an official remake of the Oscar nominated Dutch movie Everybody’s Famous, Fanney Khan is directed by Atul Manjrekar and features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao.
The flick will bring Aishwarya and Anil together on the screen after approximately 20 years. They had formerly shared screen space in the 2000 film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas and 1999 hit musical Taal.
Earlier, it was said that R. Madhavan may be cast opposite Aishwarya, and afterward, it sparked talks that the actress was upset over it as she was keen on Rajkummar instead.
